Associate – Corporate, Regulatory & Transaction Advisory

About the role

Segamlak Solomon & Associates (TSA) is seeking a motivated Associate to join its Corporate, Regulatory & Transaction Advisory team in Addis Ababa. The role involves handling corporate, regulatory and transactional matters for local and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on corporate governance, commercial operations and regulatory compliance; draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Provide investment and regulatory advice to local and foreign investors, support incorporation, licensing and regulatory approvals.
• Conduct legal due diligence, prepare transaction documents and support mergers, acquisitions, financing and strategic partnerships.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, manage communications and project timelines.
• Supervise legal assistants, interns and junior associates, reviewing their work and providing coaching.
• Contribute to legal updates, client training, business development proposals and sector expertise development.

Required profile

• LL.B. from a recognized university; additional qualifications in commercial, investment or corporate law are a plus.
• 3–5 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate, regulatory or transactional law.
• Strong commercial awareness and client‑focused approach.
