Audit Manager – Lead Financial Audits

About the role

The Audit Manager will be based in Addis Ababa and will lead full‑time financial audit engagements for a leading certified audit firm. This on‑site position involves overseeing audit teams, ensuring compliance with the firm’s quality management system, ISA and local regulations, and delivering high‑quality audit reports to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise financial statement audits for banks, insurance companies and other clients.
• Lead and coordinate audit teams, allocate tasks and monitor progress.
• Maintain compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), IFRS, IPSAS and Ethiopian regulations.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and clients.
• Mentor and train junior staff, fostering professional development.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve audit processes and business procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA.
• Strong knowledge of accounting practices and financial statements.
• Proven experience conducting financial audits, preferably for financial institutions.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Leadership and team‑management skills.
