Behavioral Health Coach – Remote (Ethiopia)

About the role

Intellect is seeking qualified professionals to join its telehealth platform as Behavioral Health Coaches. In this freelance, remote position you will deliver 30‑minute video sessions that support clients’ mental wellbeing and personal development, focusing on sub‑clinical issues such as work stress, procrastination, and work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one mental health or coaching sessions via the Intellect platform.
• Assist clients in defining personal, career, or relationship goals and create actionable plans.
• Collaborate with Intellect’s internal clinical team to suggest improvements to the program and platform.
• Maintain accurate session records and follow platform guidelines.

Required profile

• Active International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification OR a Master/Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling.
• ICF‑certified coaches must have at least 200 coaching hours; counsellors need a minimum of 300 post‑graduation clinical hours.
• Proficiency in English and the local language.
• Prior experience in Employee Assistance Programs, adult counselling, or managerial coaching is preferred.

Required skills

• Familiarity with evidence‑based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, or Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy.
• Strong coaching techniques and ability to tailor sessions to individual client needs.
