Biomedical Engineer – Maintenance & Sales

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Biomedical Engineer to join our team in Addis Ababa, working both on maintenance of medical devices and on sales activities. The role offers a unique blend of technical support for hospitals and laboratories together with client‑facing responsibilities such as tender preparation and equipment promotion.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate and repair hospital and laboratory equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and keep detailed service records.
• Train clinical and laboratory staff on safe and proper device usage.
• Coordinate with vendors for spare parts, technical support and regulatory compliance.
• Promote and sell medical equipment to healthcare institutions across Ethiopia.
• Prepare, compile and submit tender documents in line with procurement requirements.
• Develop relationships with hospital procurement teams and support quotation preparation.
• Track sales leads, generate reports and achieve assigned sales targets.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of relevant work or internship experience.
• Familiarity with hospital and laboratory equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Fluency in Amharic and English.
