Branch Manager

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead a bank branch across Ethiopia, driving sustainable growth by delivering excellent customer service and optimizing operational efficiency. This full‑time, on‑site role focuses on attracting, satisfying, and retaining customers while meeting performance and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop the branch team to achieve high‑quality service delivery.
• Manage key client relationships, create cross‑selling opportunities, and resolve customer complaints.
• Develop and implement service delivery plans to enhance customer experience.
• Coordinate with the Branch Operations Director to set operational and business objectives.
• Monitor and report on branch performance, growth, and profitability.
• Support loan and foreign‑currency request processing and ensure accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Minimum six years of experience in banking operations or branch management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven client relationship management and business‑development skills.
• Excellent planning, prioritisation, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• IFB training certification is advantageous.
