Customer Service Officer

About the role

The Customer Service Officer I provides front‑office support at a bank branch, handling account maintenance, cash and non‑cash transactions, and responding to client inquiries. The role ensures efficient service delivery while complying with the bank’s policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional front‑office customer service at the branch.
• Open, maintain, and update customer accounts.
• Process cash and non‑cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle customer payment and collection transactions.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve service‑related issues.
• Verify customer documents and ensure compliance with banking policies.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and customer information.
• Promote the bank’s financial products and services.
• Safeguard confidentiality and security of customer information.
• Support branch operations and perform additional duties assigned by the Branch Manager or Supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Insurance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant banking experience.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products and accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, integrity and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of core banking systems.
