Design Intern (Graphic & Motion)

About the role

We are offering two three‑month voluntary internships for emerging creatives: a Graphic Designer and a Video Editor / Motion Designer. The positions support Hager Beqel’s cultural platform in Addis Ababa, creating visual content for exhibitions, workshops, and online channels.

Key responsibilities

• Graphic Designer: extend the Hager Beqel brand across social media assets, event collateral, and digital materials.
• Video Editor / Motion Designer: edit event documentation, produce short social reels, and create motion graphics for the website and social platforms.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure a bold, contemporary visual style and consistent colour palette.

Required profile

• Early‑stage creative professional eager to build a meaningful portfolio.
• Strong visual sense with confidence in using vivid colour schemes.
• Ability to work independently or with remote guidance, based in or near Addis Ababa.
