Digital Identity Lead – Frontier Technologies Foundations

About the role

The Digital Identity Lead will drive the design and delivery of national‑scale digital identity solutions while expanding the practice’s pipeline through strategic donor relationships. This high‑visibility position sits at the crossroads of technical architecture and commercial origination, anchoring the Digital Identity (DID) service line.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and capture new business opportunities by leveraging relationships with the World Bank, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and regional development banks.
• Lead proposal development and pitch high‑value donor‑funded tenders for digital identity, data exchange and cybersecurity projects.
• Serve as the chief subject‑matter expert for the architectural design, governance and rollout of national digital ID systems.
• Embed international standards such as World Bank ID4D, ID4Africa and open‑source stacks like MOSIP into client roadmaps.
• Advise clients on transitioning to decentralized identity ecosystems and integrate identity layers with data‑at‑societal‑scale and cybersecurity frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience building or implementing national‑scale digital identity architectures.
• Deep knowledge of decentralized identity (DID) concepts and related cryptographic trust models.
• Established network with major development donors and experience in business origination.
• Ability to collaborate across data governance and cybersecurity domains.
