Director Agent Banking

About the role

The Director Agent Banking will lead the creation, expansion, and management of Digaf Microcredit Providers' agent banking network. Reporting to senior management, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution to deliver digital financial services across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an agent banking strategy aligned with corporate objectives and the new Islamic finance offering.
• Identify, recruit, and onboard agents to build a nationwide network that supports mobile and digital channels.
• Drive operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction through performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with fintech firms, mobile network operators, and other service providers.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Track profitability, growth metrics, and operational KPIs for the agent network.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of managers and field staff.
• Introduce innovative solutions to enhance agent performance and market outreach.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a technology‑driven environment, preferably within banking, fintech or digital financial services.
• Strong understanding of agent banking operations and digital financial ecosystems.
• Proven track record in network expansion, product delivery and stakeholder management.
• High integrity, accountability and ability to drive change.
