Distribution Supervisor – FMCG (2 positions)

About the role

The Distribution Supervisor will oversee distributor performance, drive sales growth and ensure product availability across key wholesale markets in Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa. This hands‑on role is essential for expanding market coverage and strengthening relationships with strategic customers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and performance of assigned distributors.
• Drive sales growth and achieve distribution and sales targets.
• Monitor distributor inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure accurate sales reporting and performance tracking.
• Identify and manage operational and commercial risks, including compliance and brand protection.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale markets, traders and strategic customers (e.g., Merkato and other major hubs).
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer feedback to support decision‑making.
• Conduct regular market visits to distributors, wholesalers and key accounts to ensure execution excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in FMCG sales, distribution, channel management or trade marketing.
• Proven experience supervising distributors and managing inventory performance.
• Strong understanding of Ethiopia’s traditional trade and wholesale distribution network.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical and relationship‑management abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
