District Project Coordinator

About the role

The District Project Coordinator will oversee the implementation of the RISE project in Babile and Midhega Tola, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and delivering high‑quality results for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all RISE project activities at field level, ensuring they meet approved standards, timelines and budgets.
• Supervise field‑level Project Officers, provide technical guidance, coaching and performance monitoring.
• Maintain strong relationships with government offices, NGOs and community structures, representing the project in coordination forums.
• Prepare and submit regular financial and narrative reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness and donor compliance.
• Develop and submit operational plans and progress reports to management and relevant government bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, WASH or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in coordination or management roles, preferably in NGO or USAID/BHA funded projects.
• Fluent in oral and written Amharic, English and Afan Oromo, with strong knowledge of local culture.
