Education Program Coordinator

About the role

The Education Program Coordinator will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of educational initiatives for children in Addis Ababa. Reporting to the Education Department, you will work closely with schools, NGOs and volunteers to ensure high‑quality learning experiences for vulnerable youth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement age‑appropriate educational programs for children.
• Coordinate with local schools, NGOs and other educational institutions.
• Train, supervise and mentor teaching staff and volunteers.
• Monitor student progress, assess program effectiveness and prepare outcome reports.
• Identify opportunities for program improvement, scaling and expansion.
• Manage educational resources, materials and budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience managing educational programs, preferably with vulnerable children or in humanitarian contexts.
• Fluency in English and Amharic.
• Strong organizational, leadership and analytical abilities.
• Passion for children’s education and welfare.
