Field Coordinator – Emergency Multisectoral Programme

About the role

The Field Coordinator will represent Solidarités International in the Adwa area of the Tigray Region, overseeing the implementation of an emergency multisectoral humanitarian programme that includes water, health, nutrition, cash assistance and protection activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the field strategy in line with organisational and donor requirements, ensuring compliance with SI charter and contractual procedures.
• Supervise and ensure the security of programme staff, manage material and financial resources, and coordinate with local authorities, clusters and partners.
• Monitor activity progress across multiple woredas, maintain up‑to‑date workplans, procurement plans and budget forecasts.
• Prepare regular situation reports, organise base meetings and ensure timely circulation of operational information.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in humanitarian action, international development, project management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 3‑4 years in a similar coordination role.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Amharic or Tigrigna is a strong asset.

Required skills

• Strong operation and team management skills, including leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving.
• Solid understanding of finance and logistics processes.
• Ability to work under pressure in insecure environments and adhere to safeguarding policies (PSEA, Child Protection).

What we offer

• Gross monthly salary starting from €3 080 (including 10 % annual leave allowance) plus a USD 400 per‑diem.
• Accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate’s country of origin and the assignment location.
