Food Distribution Supervisor

About the role

The Food Distribution Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring food assistance activities in refugee camps. The role ensures that all food distributions comply with operational standards of World Vision International (WVI) and the World Food Programme (WFP) while fostering transparent and accountable delivery to beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with refugee communities, conduct sensitisation sessions and support needs assessments.
• Coordinate with partners such as RRS, WFP, UNHCR and Refugee Central Committees to align programme planning.
• Lead pre‑ and post‑distribution meetings and participate in camp coordination meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of distribution activities, progress and outcomes.
• Oversee commodity handling, storage, stock control and warehouse management at the camp level.
• Supervise the commodity team, ensuring timely and standards‑compliant distribution of food items.
• Prepare written reports and data for line supervisors and relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in food assistance or humanitarian logistics within refugee settings.
• Strong coordination skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with multiple partners.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage commodity operations.
• Excellent record‑keeping and reporting capabilities.
