General Manager – Luxury Hotel in Addis Ababa

About the role

The General Manager will lead The Bristol hotel in Addis Ababa, setting strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence and driving financial performance to position the property as a premier luxury destination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the hotel’s business strategy, aligning with ownership objectives and luxury market positioning.
• Assume full accountability for financial results, including revenue, GOP, EBITDA and cash flow, and present performance to ownership.
• Lead commercial strategy across rooms, F&B, events and ancillary streams to maximise ADR, occupancy, RevPAR and market share.
• Ensure exceptional luxury guest experiences, overseeing all operational departments and maintaining high service standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field with 12‑15 years progressive luxury hotel experience.
• 3‑5 years experience as General Manager or Hotel Manager in a recognized luxury property, preferably with opening or repositioning experience.
• Strong financial acumen, proven P&L management, and ability to drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Amharic or other languages is an advantage.
