Head of Budget & Cost Division

About the role

People First Consult is seeking a highly analytical and results‑oriented Head of Budget & Cost Division for a well‑established industrial manufacturing company in Ethiopia. The role will lead budgeting, cost management, financial planning and performance analysis to enhance cost efficiency and support informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, consolidation and monitoring of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Oversee cost accounting, product costing, cost allocation and variance analysis.
• Monitor production and operational costs, identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare management reports, financial analyses and performance dashboards.
• Collaborate with Finance, Production, Procurement and other departments to improve cost control and resource utilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong experience in budgeting, cost accounting, financial analysis and management reporting.
• Manufacturing‑sector experience, especially in product costing and production cost analysis, is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, communication and leadership skills.
