Human Resources Intern

About the role

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) is seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to support its Organization Development Unit in Addis Ababa. The internship lasts six months and offers hands‑on experience in HR administration, learning needs analysis, and data‑driven reporting within a multilateral organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop surveys and collect data for the 2027 Learning Needs verification.
• Monitor and update the O‑Induction programme.
• Track attendance for language courses in the language centre.
• Assist in designing and improving HR dashboards by organizing statistical information.
• Provide administrative support for ongoing HR projects and mandatory training reporting.
• Coordinate logistics for learning programmes, workshops, and performance‑management activities.
• Draft internal communications, training announcements, and knowledge‑sharing materials.
• Compile periodic and post‑training reports.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the head of the unit.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or have completed a first‑degree or graduate‑level programme (or be in the final academic year of a bachelor’s degree).
• Strong interest in human resources, organizational development, or related fields.
• Ability to work independently under supervision and meet deadlines.
