IT and Digital Risk Officer

About the role

The IT and Digital Risk Officer will lead enterprise IT risk assessments, develop and maintain risk management frameworks, and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Reporting to senior management, the role supports the bank’s digital and technology initiatives while safeguarding against operational and cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct enterprise IT risk assessments covering infrastructure, applications, networks, digital platforms, and technology projects.
• Develop and maintain IT risk management frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory and industry best practices.
• Identify vulnerabilities and security gaps across systems and recommend mitigation measures.
• Prepare IT risk reports and dashboards for senior management and risk governance committees.
• Monitor system‑generated compliance and AML/CFT alerts to detect unusual or suspicious activities.
• Maintain compliance records, documentation, and audit trails for regulatory and internal review.

Required profile

• First Degree (BSc) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT risk or cyber risk management.
• High operational accuracy and strict adherence to NBE standards.
