Junior Frontend Developer Internship

About the role

Techally is a technology consulting company based in Addis Ababa, delivering innovative digital solutions for governments, organisations and enterprises across Africa. As the engineering team expands, we are looking for a Junior Frontend Developer intern to implement features, fix bugs, write tests and deepen skills in TypeScript and modern CSS.

Key responsibilities

• Develop UI components and pages using React or Next.js.
• Collaborate in code reviews and pair‑programming sessions.
• Write unit and integration tests and address bug reports.
• Improve performance and accessibility under guidance from senior leads.
• Contribute code that is merged into production client applications.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional experience with React or a strong student portfolio (coursework, hackathons, internships).
• Final‑year students or recent graduates who can demonstrate React/JavaScript projects.
• Comfortable with basic TypeScript and Git.
• Curious, open to feedback and reliable.
