Logistics Team Leader – North Afar, Ethiopia

About the role

The Logistics Team Leader will oversee all logistics and supply‑chain activities for NRC’s North Afar response in Ethiopia. The role ensures compliance with NRC policies, donor requirements and local regulations while providing technical support and capacity building to logistics staff.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all logistics procedures, procurement documents and contracts comply with NRC and donor regulations.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date asset list and supervise warehouse management at area and field offices.
• Plan and monitor vehicle maintenance, movement plans and fuel reconciliation.
• Set up supplier pre‑qualification, long‑term and framework agreements as needed.
• Conduct regular field visits for compliance spot‑checks and deliver trainings.
• Prepare and submit logistics reports to donors and auditors in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of logistics and supply‑chain experience in humanitarian settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply‑chain management or a related field.
• Experience working in complex, volatile contexts with documented results.
• Strong knowledge of local private and public service networks.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
