Machine Utility Operator

About the role

The Machine Utility Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring and adjusting key utility equipment—including boiler, chiller, air compressor, generator and water‑treatment systems—to ensure safe, efficient and continuous plant performance in an FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boiler, chiller, air compressor, generator and water‑treatment units, checking feed water quality, temperature, fuel and oil levels, gas pressure and circulation levels.
• Inspect all operational equipment at least every two hours and record process parameters and utility consumption.
• Report deviations or equipment issues to the utility engineer and support corrective actions.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor adjustments on utility machinery.
• Maintain a clean, “like new” condition of all equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Identify risk areas, report to EHS and production heads, and assist in maintaining a hazard‑free work environment.

Required profile

• Minimum Level‑II qualification in General Mechanic, Industrial or Electrical fields.
• At least 3 years of experience operating utility equipment in an FMCG or similar industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow work orders, production schedules and technical diagrams.
• Commitment to safety, use of PPE and adherence to EHS procedures.
