Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

About the role

Vylor is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join its Addis Adaba site in Ethiopia. The role will support seed processing and other agricultural operations by ensuring maintenance activities are planned, scheduled and executed efficiently. You will work closely with Operations and plant teams to keep equipment available and production uninterrupted.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed maintenance schedules for preventive, predictive, corrective and shutdown activities.
• Create and manage work orders within the CMMS/SAP maintenance system.
• Coordinate maintenance plans with Operations to ensure equipment availability and minimise production disruptions.
• Prioritise maintenance activities based on safety, compliance, operational impact and asset criticality.
• Plan and schedule manpower, contractors, tools and materials required for maintenance work.
• Monitor maintenance backlog and drive timely execution of planned work.
• Coordinate plant shutdowns, turnarounds and major maintenance activities.
• Track KPIs such as schedule compliance, equipment downtime and work‑order completion rates.
• Support root‑cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Maintenance or a related field.
• Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and plant maintenance within a manufacturing or agricultural environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable transportation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or other CMMS platforms.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
