Manager – Research, Product & Business Development

About the role

This senior position leads strategy, market research, product development and strategic partnerships to drive organisational growth. The manager will build cross‑functional business cases, conduct feasibility studies and establish high‑impact alliances across government, financial and fintech sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of innovation, business and marketing strategies, including policies and processes.
• Identify, negotiate and optimise strategic partnerships with donors, government entities, financial institutions, fintechs, card schemes and international corporations.
• Lead end‑to‑end development of innovative products, services, research tools, proofs‑of‑concept and roadmaps, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Conduct product feasibility studies, benchmark surveys, customer satisfaction assessments and industry research; present proposals and business models to leadership.
• Oversee department budgeting, performance metrics, reporting and employee training, coaching and career development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, product development or management consulting.
• Proven research and analytical capabilities, excellent communication and strong team collaboration skills.
