Marketing Officer – Healthcare Services

About the role

The Marketing Officer will join Tazma Medical and Surgical Specialized Center in Addis Ababa to develop and execute marketing initiatives that promote the centre’s medical and surgical services. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on increasing patient awareness, supporting patient acquisition, and strengthening the brand’s presence in the local healthcare market.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, launch and monitor marketing campaigns aimed at promoting clinical services.
• Conduct market research to understand patient needs, competitor activity and healthcare trends.
• Coordinate outreach activities, events and partnership initiatives.
• Manage social media channels, create content and monitor engagement.
• Prepare promotional materials and support patient‑engagement programs.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure consistent messaging.
• Track campaign performance, generate reports and provide recommendations.
• Continuously monitor local market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in marketing and sales with a focus on patient acquisition and retention.
• Experience in market research and ability to translate findings into actionable strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Relevant academic background in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field; healthcare experience is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Commitment to ethical, inclusive and patient‑centered marketing practices.
