National Consultant – Reproductive Health Commodity Security (RHCS)

About the role

The consultant will support Ethiopia's Federal Ministry of Health in planning, implementing and monitoring Reproductive Health Commodity Security (RHCS) activities, providing technical assistance and ensuring systematic assessment of results.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate joint UNFPA‑MOH interventions, develop proposals, work plans and reports.
• Strengthen federal RHCS forums and networks to keep commodity security a priority.
• Conduct field visits, prepare status reports, oversee inventory counts and logistics assessments.
• Monitor quarterly contraceptive stock status and support coordination with UN agencies, partners and EPSS.
• Build capacity in forecasting, inventory control, storage and distribution of RH commodities.
• Provide technical support for policy development, logistics information management and supply‑chain digitisation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Public Health or related health sciences.
• Minimum two years experience in RHCS program planning, implementation and management.
• Knowledge of Ethiopian public health system is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Commodity logistics and warehouse management.
• Forecasting and quantification of reproductive health commodities.
• Proficiency with standard office software applications.
