About the role

The Programme Associate will support UNFPA’s country programme in Benishangul Gumuz, Ethiopia. Working under the Regional Programme Officer, the role contributes to the design, planning, and management of initiatives across sexual and reproductive health, gender‑based violence, and population data, especially in remote and conflict‑affected areas.

Key responsibilities

Manage data inputs and ensure accurate population and health information.
Provide logistical support for programme activities and field operations.
Monitor project implementation and follow up on recommendations.
Assist in the development of mechanisms and systems to improve service access.
Support coordination across humanitarian, development, and peace‑building initiatives.

Required profile

Ethiopian national.
Commitment to UNFPA’s mission and values.
