About the role
The Programme Coordinator will oversee UNCDF programmes in Ethiopia, aligning projects with national strategic goals and supporting the growth of a portfolio focused on MSMEs and emerging sectors such as fintech, ag‑tech and climate‑tech.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and support the development of country strategies, work plans and programme priorities.
- Coordinate implementation of UNCDF programmes, ensuring quality assurance, monitoring milestones and tracking financial resources in line with UNDP/UNCDF rules.
- Conduct project reviews, revisions and reporting to meet donor and UN requirements.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with government ministries, regulators, donors, financial institutions and development partners.
- Support resource mobilisation by cultivating relationships with funders and identifying new funding opportunities.
- Provide advisory support to government and private‑sector stakeholders to promote enabling policies and frameworks.
