Project Assistant for LIWAY Programme

About the role

SNV is seeking a recent university graduate to join the LIWAY programme in Addis Ababa as a Project Assistant. The role offers a learning‑focused environment where the intern will support communication and administrative tasks while gaining exposure to market‑systems development work.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and edit communication materials, including newsletters, case‑stories and learning notes.
• Attend LIWAY events, meetings and workshops to take minutes, capture high‑quality photographs and produce news updates.
• Support the Monitoring and Results Measurement team in preparing learning briefs and reporting documents.
• Maintain project filing systems, assist with scheduling and coordinate logistics for trainings and stakeholder meetings.
• Contribute to the preparation of presentations and visual aids for internal and external audiences.

Required profile

• University graduate (any discipline) with strong interest in development, gender equality and youth livelihoods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
• Willingness to travel locally within Addis Ababa for project activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in word processing and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic photography skills for event documentation.
