Project Coordinator – Stroke Prevention Project

About the role

Last Mile Health is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead an 18‑month Stroke Prevention Project in Ethiopia. Based in Addis Ababa, you will work closely with the Ministry of Health and Regional Health Bureaus to strengthen community‑level screening, referral, and care for high‑risk cardiovascular patients.

Key responsibilities

• Update and localise blended learning modules and training materials in line with MOH policies and latest clinical guidance.
• Coordinate delivery of training programmes for Health Extension Workers, supervisors and other frontline providers.
• Provide technical support to regional, zonal and woreda stakeholders to improve implementation quality.
• Lead community‑based screening, referral coordination and follow‑up activities.
• Design and conduct pre‑ and post‑training assessments to evaluate learning outcomes.
• Support adaptation, digitalisation and integration of clinical quality improvement tools, including the HEP‑Assist AI decision‑support system.

Required profile

• Experience strengthening health systems and coordinating complex public‑health programmes.
• Proven ability to work with government partners, especially MOH and regional health bureaus.
• Experience building capacity of Health Extension Workers and supervisors.
• Located in Ethiopia with valid work authorization.
