Promotions Officer

About the role

The Promotions Officer is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Addis Ababa. You will plan, execute, and monitor promotional campaigns that support both client and in‑house brand objectives, working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop promotional strategies and annual calendars aligned with brand goals.
• Coordinate with creative, digital, PR, and event teams to ensure consistent messaging.
• Manage day‑to‑day implementation of campaigns across online and offline channels.
• Track campaign performance, prepare analytical reports, and recommend data‑driven improvements.
• Write and edit promotional content for various media.
• Liaise with partners, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Support event‑related promotions and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
• Maintain detailed project timelines and manage promotional budgets.
• Contribute ideas to boost audience engagement and brand visibility.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal and external parties.
• Analytical and marketing expertise to plan, interpret data, and optimise campaigns.
• Project‑management ability to handle multiple campaigns, timelines, and budgets.
• Relevant experience in promotions, marketing, communications, or a related field, preferably in media or advertising.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social‑media platforms, and basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversion).
• Willingness to work on‑site in Addis Ababa with flexibility for events outside standard hours.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, proactive, and committed to inclusive, ethical promotion practices.
