Regional Performance Improvement Officer

About the role

The Regional Performance Improvement Officer will lead supply chain performance improvement across assigned regions, supporting regional health bureaus, woredas and health facilities. The role focuses on monitoring key performance indicators, conducting assessments and building capacity to strengthen sub‑national health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct performance assessments, analyze supply chain systems and develop regional improvement plans.
• Lead execution of improvement strategies with regional health officials and partners, providing technical guidance.
• Collect and analyse performance data to track progress, identify trends and inform decision‑making.
• Engage stakeholders—including government agencies, private sector and NGOs—to ensure collaborative implementation.
• Coordinate with the central office, prepare reports, share best practices and support M&E integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, pharmacy, supply chain management or related field (master’s preferred).
• 5‑8 years of experience in performance improvement, pharmaceutical supply chain or project management in health/development sectors.
• Proven ability to assess performance, analyse data and implement improvement strategies in multi‑regional settings.
