Security Operation Center Officer

About the role

The Security Operation Center Officer will monitor and respond to security events across Bunna Bank's digital infrastructure, ensuring the protection of data and systems. The role reports to the SOC manager and contributes directly to the bank's cybersecurity resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts through SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, network security devices, and other monitoring platforms.
• Analyze and investigate alerts to differentiate legitimate activity from potential threats.
• Identify suspicious activities, indicators of compromise, unauthorized access attempts, malware, and other security events.
• Escalate confirmed and high‑risk incidents according to approved SOC procedures and service‑level requirements.
• Support incident containment, remediation, and recovery activities in coordination with relevant technology teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Practical knowledge in cybersecurity operations, security event monitoring, log analysis, threat detection, and incident response support.
• High operational accuracy and strict adherence to NBE standards.
