Senior Operations Manager

About the role

Ficom Business PLC is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to own end‑to‑end import and export operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will ensure seamless coordination across procurement, logistics and customs documentation while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operational workflows covering procurement, logistics and customs/export documentation.
• Manage relationships with international and local suppliers, freight forwarders and export partners.
• Oversee shipment schedules, import/export compliance and inventory flow.
• Identify process inefficiencies and develop scalable systems to support business growth.
• Serve as the primary liaison between ground‑level operations and executive leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations within import/export, trade, or the food & beverage sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and take ownership of outcomes.
• Strong understanding of import/export documentation, customs procedures and logistics coordination.
• Fluent communication skills in English and Amharic.
