Senior Supply Chain Coordinator (North Ethiopia)

About the role

The Senior Supply Chain Coordinator will lead the supply chain function for Save the Children’s North Area, covering Amhara, Tigray and Afar regions. Reporting to the Area Manager‑North, the role ensures that procurement, fleet, warehousing, construction and asset management are delivered efficiently and in line with global and national policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain plan, including resource identification and budgeting for the three regional states.
• Lead and supervise supply chain staff (procurement, warehouse, fleet and construction officers), setting clear objectives and managing performance.
• Oversee procurement processes, maintain purchase order tracking, conduct market assessments and ensure compliance with donor rules.
• Manage fleet operations, vehicle assignment, maintenance, driver supervision and road‑safety initiatives.
• Supervise warehousing and construction activities, maintain accurate asset registers and support logistics for project implementation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian or development supply chain management, preferably at senior level.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, fleet, warehousing and asset management best practices and donor compliance.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build capacity through training and performance management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Save the Children supply chain systems: ProSave, ProFleet (GlideGO), TIM, eAsset and eWaiver.
• Advanced procurement planning and tender management skills.
• Experience in fleet planning, vehicle maintenance scheduling and asset register maintenance.
