Senior UI/UX Designer

About the role

The Senior UI/UX Designer will lead the creation of intuitive, engaging digital experiences, guiding projects from concept through implementation while ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of user‑friendly interfaces for web and mobile products.
• Drive the end‑to‑end design process, from research and ideation to high‑fidelity prototypes and final delivery.
• Mentor junior designers and foster a collaborative design culture.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to translate requirements into design solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of design strategy, standards, and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Design, HCI or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing end‑to‑end projects.
• Proven ability to conduct user research, synthesize insights, and apply them to design decisions.
• Experience working on‑site in Addis Ababa and collaborating in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with current design trends and tools; motion‑design or animation knowledge is a plus.

• Front‑end technologies: HTML, CSS.
• Responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Prototyping and wireframing expertise.
