Social Media Manager – On-site in Addis Ababa

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Social Media Manager to join our forward‑looking team in Addis Ababa. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will shape our online presence, ensuring a consistent brand voice across all platforms while supporting product launches and organizational initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create and publish content on key social media channels.
• Develop and execute social media campaigns aligned with marketing goals.
• Manage posting schedules and optimize content for maximum engagement.
• Monitor performance metrics and generate reports using analytics tools.
• Respond to community comments and messages in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with content, marketing and product teams to ensure cohesive communication.
• Stay updated on platform best practices and emerging social media trends.

Required profile

• Strong background in social media marketing and SMO, with experience managing multiple platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audience tones.
• Proven ability to develop content strategies that align with brand positioning.
• Experience using social media analytics tools to track performance and refine tactics.
• Familiarity with basic graphic design or content creation tools such as Canva or Photoshop is an advantage.
• Organized, detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior experience in a social media, digital marketing, or communications role is preferred.
• Relevant education in marketing, communications, media or a related field is beneficial.
