Tigrinya Language Expert – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Tigrinya speaker to support the training of next‑generation AI systems. Working remotely, you will ensure that AI models receive high‑quality, culturally accurate Tigrinya data, helping improve their understanding and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, review, and edit Tigrinya content for accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance.
• Evaluate, correct, and annotate linguistic data used in AI training.
• Provide detailed feedback to enhance AI‑generated Tigrinya outputs.
• Collaborate with other linguistic experts and project managers to meet project milestones.
• Maintain consistency, clarity, and precision across all Tigrinya materials.
• Identify idioms, regional variations, and linguistic nuances to improve AI learning.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Tigrinya, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or localization of Tigrinya content.
• Strong linguistic analysis abilities and deep cultural knowledge of Tigrinya‑speaking regions.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to language accuracy.
• Ability to communicate insights clearly in written and verbal form.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative, remote environment.
