TSFP Facilitator – Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program

About the role

The TSFP Facilitator supports the daily implementation of the Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program, focusing on screening, admission, and treatment of Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) among children under five and pregnant or lactating women. The role combines direct beneficiary interaction, nutrition education, and coordination of food distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome beneficiaries, explain the program purpose, procedures, and product usage.
• Manage crowd control and ensure all equipment and materials are ready.
• Verify eligibility of beneficiaries (U5, PW, LW) and assess for bilateral edema.
• Conduct MUAC measurements, weight (to 0.1 kg) and height (to mm) assessments.
• Complete internal and external referral forms accurately.
• Register new beneficiaries, issue identification cards, and refer to appropriate treatment services.
• Distribute complementary food according to guidelines and monitor post‑distribution outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and support monitoring surveys for U5 children and pregnant/lactating women.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed program guidelines and protocols.
• Strong communication skills for explaining procedures to caregivers.
• Attention to detail in data collection and form completion.
