Warehouse Assistant (Fixed-Term) – UNICEF, Addis Ababa

About the role

The Warehouse Assistant will support the day‑to‑day receipt, storage, and dispatch of UNICEF supplies in the Addis Ababa warehouse, ensuring that all items are handled according to product‑specific requirements and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and record incoming shipments of humanitarian supplies.
• Prepare and dispatch outgoing consignments to programme sites.
• Maintain appropriate storage conditions for different product categories.
• Ensure security measures are applied to protect programme supplies.
• Update inventory records and support regular stock‑taking activities.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse Officer and other UNICEF teams to meet operational needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in an international or humanitarian setting.
• Understanding of product‑specific storage and handling requirements.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and security.
