Amharic Language Specialist – Remote (Hourly)

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native Amharic speaker to join our remote team on an hourly contract. The specialist will support AI model training, content localization, and multimedia production by translating, editing, and engineering audio assets.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, localize, and adapt written content between Amharic and English.
• Edit and proofread materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Perform dubbing and voice‑over recordings for multimedia and AI training datasets.
• Process and engineer audio recordings to ensure high‑quality output.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support AI model training and language development.
• Annotate, evaluate, and refine language data for machine‑learning applications.
• Provide linguistic insights to improve workflows and language accuracy.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Amharic with strong English skills.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, and localization.
• Solid background in linguistics or language analysis.
• Experience in dubbing and voice‑over work.
• Strong attention to detail and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.
