Data Analytics Officer I

About the role

ZamZam Bank, Ethiopia's first full‑fledged interest‑free bank, is seeking a Data Analytics Officer I to support its mission of financial inclusion and digital transformation. The role involves turning data into actionable insights that drive ethical, Shari'ah‑compliant banking services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data analysis and develop dashboards to monitor business performance.
• Create and maintain business intelligence reports and visualisations.
• Design data models and implement ETL processes for reliable data flow.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate analytical needs into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related analytical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting or a similar analytical environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a results‑oriented team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server or Oracle.
• Expertise in Power BI for data modelling, report/dashboard creation and administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Python, R or Alteryx for analytics or query tasks.
• Knowledge of data‑warehouse concepts and data‑orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Power Automate, Python scripting or RPA tools is an advantage.
