Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe environment throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access to guest rooms.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
• Lock entrances, conduct daily hazard inspections, and respond to accidents or emergencies.
• Provide first aid/CPR, contact EMS, and assist during fire or evacuation events.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and coordinate outside assistance when needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Support guests with disabilities, welcome and acknowledge all visitors, and uphold professional appearance standards.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and respond quickly to situations.
• Physical capacity to lift up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Clear, professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
