Part-Time Accountant – Addis Ababa

About the role

VirtualStudyAI is seeking a part‑time Accountant to join its on‑site team in Addis Ababa. You will support the organization’s mission by ensuring accurate financial record‑keeping and compliance with Ethiopian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions, maintain ledgers, and reconcile bank and cash accounts.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with budget tracking.
• Process invoices, payments, and support internal audits.
• Monitor expenses and revenues, ensuring alignment with the educational mission.
• Collaborate with operations and management to provide financial insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in bookkeeping, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and maintain confidentiality of financial data.

Required skills
