Product Development Manager – Banking

About the role

The Product Development Manager will lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of banking products at Ahadu Bank in Addis Ababa. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on creating inclusive financial solutions that meet the needs of underserved communities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and assess customer needs to identify product opportunities.
• Develop business cases, pricing, and positioning strategies for new products.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, IT, sales and other cross‑functional teams to define product specifications.
• Oversee pilot testing, launch, and ongoing performance monitoring of products.
• Ensure products comply with regulatory requirements and the bank’s inclusive intermediation strategy.
• Track product performance metrics, recommend enhancements, and support sales teams with training and materials.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to evaluate market trends and customer insights.
• Experience in market research and product development, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Understanding of sales processes and ability to work with sales teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance or related field; master’s degree is a plus.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
