About the role

Shaggar Institute of Technology is looking for dedicated Security Officers to protect its campus community. The role involves regular patrols of buildings and outdoor areas, monitoring entry points and visitor movement, and responding quickly to any incidents.

Key responsibilities

Patrol academic buildings, dormitories and surrounding grounds on a scheduled basis.
Monitor gates, visitors and student traffic, and report any suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms or security incidents.
Maintain accurate security logs and incident records.

Required profile

Minimum of Grade 12 (high school) completion.
Relevant certification in security management.
At least three years of experience in a security‑related position.
Strong communication skills in English, Afaan Oromo and Amharic.
