About the role
Global Insurance SC, a leading Ethiopian insurer with over 25 years of experience, is seeking a Senior Legal Officer to join its team in Addis Ababa. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support to ensure the company’s operations, products and services comply with Ethiopian law and industry regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management on insurance and Takaful related matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, policies and other legal documents.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable statutes.
- Manage and coordinate any litigation or dispute resolution processes.
- Support the development and implementation of internal legal policies and procedures.
Required profile
- LLB degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the insurance sector.
Required skills
- Computer skills.
