SOC Analyst I

About the role

ZamZam Bank, Ethiopia's first interest‑free bank, is expanding its Security Operations Center. The SOC Analyst I will join a 24/7 team responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats across the bank’s digital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events in real time using SIEM platforms.
• Perform alert triage, investigate incidents, and escalate as needed.
• Analyze security logs, network traffic, and endpoint data to identify malicious activity.
• Apply MITRE ATT&CK framework to classify tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain indicators of compromise (IOC) and indicators of attack (IOA).
• Collaborate with IT and risk teams to remediate vulnerabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in IT or cyber security.
• Familiarity with 24/7 SOC operations, incident escalation, and common cyber threat vectors.
