Supply Chain Advisor for HIV/AIDS and TB Health Programs

About the role

The Health Program Supply Chain Advisor for HIV/AIDS and TB works within Ethiopia's Ministry of Health Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Lead Executive Office. The advisor provides technical assistance across demand planning, procurement, stock monitoring and overall supply chain management to ensure continuous availability of life‑saving commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support strategic pharmaceutical supply chain plans and action items for HIV/AIDS and TB programs.
• Collaborate with Ministry of Health, Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Service, and project partners to ensure accurate quantification, timely procurement and uninterrupted commodity flow.
• Provide expert guidance on health policies, strategies and innovations related to HIV/AIDS and TB supply chains.
• Strengthen public and private sector supply chain activities, including inventory management, storage, distribution and quality assurance.
• Promote data‑driven decision‑making and build capacity through mentorship, coaching and knowledge transfer to MoH and EPSS teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health commodity supply chain management, preferably within HIV/AIDS or TB programs.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Health processes and the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Service.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government, donor and private sector partners.
• Strong analytical mindset to support data‑based planning and performance improvement.
