Temporary HR Officer (2 positions)

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will report to the HR and Operations Director and ensure that all HR processes are executed accurately and on time. This temporary position supports recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and HR data management for Jhpiego Ethiopia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting job vacancies and shortlisting candidates for positions up to grade 8.
• Coordinate interviews, tests, and prepare related documentation.
• Prepare job offer letters, contracts, and onboarding checklists for new hires.
• Maintain HR databases in JEMS and iCIMS, ensuring confidentiality and up‑to‑date staff records.
• Track staff insurance claims, medical reimbursements, and support payroll preparation.
• Support workforce planning, pension scheme registration, and HR audit activities.
• Develop recruitment tracking matrices and manage orientation schedules.

Required profile

Required skills

• Experience with Jhpiego Enterprise Management System (JEMS)
• Familiarity with iCIMS recruitment platform
