Backend Engineer (4+ Years Experience)

About the role

AISyncSo.com is looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer to join its on‑site team in Addis Ababa. You will help build and maintain scalable backend systems that power AI‑driven automation for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend architectures, REST APIs and database schemas.
• Manage containerised deployment pipelines using Docker.
• Integrate external services, including payment gateways and third‑party APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve infrastructure challenges and embed AI‑assisted features.
• Ensure security, compliance and high availability of all backend services.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a passion for building secure, scalable systems.
• Experience with enterprise‑scale or government projects is a plus.
